Do you feel you were meant for more?

“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to bloom”

If your life isn’t what you dream it could be…

And you have a nagging, sometimes painful sense that you’re meant for more…

Let’s just get to bottom of that today.

And start turning your pain into power, so you can have a powerfully awesome life!

Now, I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that you had a hard time growing up. Maybe you felt like the black sheep of the family or you never really fit in anywhere. You might have always worried there was something wrong with you.

And now the world sometimes seems too hard and cold.

I get it! And here’s what I know…

You have a wound you’re carrying around, and it hurts. But there’s good news!

All the suffering you’ve gone through has had a purpose. It’s given you everything you need to be a natural leader and a natural healer. You don’t fit into this world because you’re here to help create a better one!

But there’s a step you have to take before you can do that. In order to be successful in any area of your life or make a difference for others, you have to clear out all the shit you’re still carrying around from your past.

Now, maybe you’ve heard that forgiveness is the key to dissolving your past and claiming your freedom and your power.

And that’s true…but…

I know so many people who have done tons of forgiveness work around their parents, abusers, people who have betrayed them, etc. They think that they’ve forgiven and gotten past the past. But then, every time they think of those people and experiences, waves of anger, hurt, and pain rise up again.

And then they wonder why forgiveness isn’t changing their life the way it’s supposed to.

Well, here’s the reason: Most people are confused about the difference between forgiveness and compassion.

Compassion comes first. And a lot of people think they’ve forgiven when they’re actually in a state of compassion.

Compassion is, “I understand.” It means: I get why this person did that thing that felt so hurtful. I understand why my mom treated me that way. I understand why my dad was so hard on me. I understand the pain and compulsions they were grappling with.

That’s a really good place to be, and many people who were abused or neglected or abandoned in childhood never make it to compassion.

But forgiveness?

True forgiveness is, “it doesn’t hurt anymore—at all, ever!”

And no matter what you’ve been through, it IS possible to get there.

I know.

When I was growing up, I was told every day that I will never amount to anything, that I am crazy and lazy.  I was also told that I should be grateful if a potential partner as much as looks at me, that I am B graded goods. Now I have NOT been physically abused, however this abuse went very deep And I believed that I was worthless.

30 years ago, to heal from all that, I did a lot of spiritual and psychological work. I knew that I couldn’t do it alone. And I knew that I couldn’t heal through the mind.

I’m now the living proof that no matter what you’ve been through, you can begin again. Today, I can literally think about what I went through and just feel neutral. I’m not numb, I’m just through the pain.

And I know this for sure: It doesn’t matter what you’ve done or what you’ve gone through; there is nothing wrong with you! The only thing wrong is that you think something is wrong with you.

You’ve been programmed to believe that there is something wrong with you, and with that subconscious programming going on in the back of your mind,  you’ll never reach true forgiveness and with it your Divine expression.

Affirmations won’t get you there, and neither will talk therapy.

See, it’s in your head, but it’s not a head thing.

It’s a cellular memory. And to move beyond that requires a special kind of journey.

It’s the journey I took that enables me to look back today on my mother trying to consistently shame me in front of my friends telling everybody what a two faced bitch I am. Or when she told me that if she would have known beforehand that she has a daughter like me, she would have aborted me.

It’s something that happened, and it helped shape me into the compassionate, empathetic leader that I am today. But I wouldn’t be able to embody that, or to connect with you like this right now, if I hadn’t gone from compassion to forgiveness to self love.

I want to help you take the same journey—the journey to true forgiveness

and self love that removes all your past pain and unleashes the magnificent

Soul that is hiding within you.

That’s why I am offering you a free “connect with your Soul’s calling” strategy session to help you take the first step.

Listen to your heart, let go of the excuses and join me

Has it been a rough week?

concerned-voterAre you feeling unsettled about the US election results? Are you concerned about a possible recession?

Last night I had a healing session with one of my VIP clients and she admitted that she felt “a little bit unsettled” but she still thought that Spirit was in control.

When we dug a bit deeper we found that the uncertainty was just the tip of the iceberg. Underneath there was fear: “May be China and the US will go to war” and she was saddened and enraged about the election outcome.

Has this ever happened to you before?

You think that you are fine on the surface, only to break out in tears when somebody lovingly puts their hand on your back?

Or someone cuts you off in traffic and you get into a murderous rage?

Take a moment now to check in and be honest. What are your feelings about this election? What are your fears?

You see, the awakening is happening right now. The old institutions and world order needs to crumble for the new to arise.

There is a higher purpose for all this chaos and fear and it starts with you.positive

We are now called to step up, to hold the energy of peace and to live an empowered life. To Be the change you want to see in the world.

The shift will come from the Divine Feminine, we are now called to lead with our heart. Which also means that we need to clear out and integrate all that is not of love. We need to shift into the new paradigm where you can express who you are at Soul level.

If you feel that your soul’s calling is to be a healer, mystic, coach, teacher or creative and you worry that you won’t be able to do what you want to do AND succeed financially, you are in for a surprise.

The world is so tired of fake, cookie cutter, second-hand solutions. If you have a gift, your people are searching for you!

It’s happening for you not to you

It’s not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters.”

I just wrapped up with one of my favorite clients of all time. In one year, she healed her Chronic Fatigue and she created a very successful 6-figure business, teaching meditation and mindfulness to corporate clients. She is now doing her Soul’s calling!

It all started with changing her relationship with money and her relationship to herself. She now knows she is worthy of all the good things coming into her life.

As we reflected on the last year, we noticed that “problems” that cropped up (and felt really upsetting in the moment) turned out to be good things.strong-woman

I’ve seen this again and again over the years: that a crisis that looks like a disaster, turns into the very opportunity you’ve been waiting for and asking for.

In fact the worst thing that happens can be the most valuable event of our lives.

Here’s a specific example:

One of the women I’ve accepted in the last year cured herself of Chronic Anxiety and Panic Attacks holistically after not getting relief from conventional medicine. She’s even written a book about the connections she discovered between anxiety and childhood trauma, and she shares her path of inner healing and lifestyle changes for full recovery.

Wow! Can you imagine how many people need her message?

That’s why I find it useful to experiment with re-interpreting events:

  • What if it’s not happening to you, but is happening for you?
  • What do you need to learn here, to release this struggle?
  • What becomes possible when you let go of fear?

When you try looking at the situation from this different perspective, you’ll often find the benefits and opportunities faster.

Imagine you’re a surfer. What do we know about surfers? They LOVE big waves. Learn to ride the waves.

If you are ready to surf the big waves, the waves that lead to prosperity, to doing your Soul’s calling, book yourself in for a strategy session.

I have only a few spots left for women that are ready to live the life they are meant to.

Here’s to the joy of being YOU

How to listen to your soul’s calling

Have you ever had a new idea or inspiration? To write a book, start a business, leave a job, create more joy and abundance in your life?

I think we’ve all been there. We think to ourselves: “This is IT. I have found my Soul’s highest path!! THIS is part of my Divine purpose.”

Our new-found inspiration is all we think about. We feel invigorated, excited, confident and on track.

And then…after a few days or weeks…the inspiration wanes, we are questioning whether it was such a good idea after all….and you do nothing.

What happens is that the ego comes in. Or the spiritual ego sets in.

egoThere’s a few things we must understand about our ego.

First of all, there’s nothing “wrong” with our ego. This is part of our personality without we couldn’t live our life here on the planet. We all need the mental aspect of ourselves to act as an intermediary between our soul and our body.

But we also must acknowledge that the primary directive of the ego is to get us to death as safely as possible. Our ego will always, always, always strive to keep us “safe.”

For this reason, our ego has a great need to be right, most especially about itself. And so, when the ego encounters an idea that although really exciting at first, it will create fear, it perceives your new endeavor as massively dangerous. Your Soul wants to s –t –r –e-t-c-h and grow and experience itself in new joyful ways, and it is the voice of the ego that creates doubt, fear, procrastination, which results that we stay with the status quo. The voice of the ego will always sound oh so very reasonable.

The journey for all of us is to integrate the ego with our Soul. To make it an alley rather than an enemy.

Again, this is how the ego works for ALL of us. The Spiritual ego on the other hand is the voice of “I don’t need any help”, or “My view is right” or you wear the mask of excessive positivity. You might have read many spiritual books but are intellectualizing rather than LIVING it.

Of course, who we think we are at the level of ego may be MILES away from who we actually are, at Soul-level. Your overall level of joy, peace and abundance will give you an idea of just how aligned you are as a human being to your spiritual identity.

Our Soul doesn’t actually care how unsafe or uncomfortable we feel. After all, it’s had lots of lifetimes in
the past and will, no doubt, have quite a few more in its future. The Soul only cares about expressing itself into this human experience. What happens next is that all the negative belief patterns that we have accumulated since childhood and are not integrated will come up.

But the Soul can’t interfere with our free will. And free will happens to reside at the level of ego while we’re human.

Your ego will practically yell at you. “Who do you think you are”? “I will be left destitute”, “I am not good enough”, “I can’t afford it”. The ego also likes immediate gratification. We want to have a plan that is fool proof. We want to get our hands on the users manual.

The Soul, on the other hand, is merely suggestive and comes as an Inspiration. You are inspired. And it gives you no reason or rationalization whatsoever as to why you should act on its guidance. It will only just give you the first step.

The Soul will nonchalantly murmur “Do this now.” That’s it. And usually, whatever the Soul is suggesting makes us hugely uncomfortable after the initial excitement.

No wonder we’re more inclined to listen to our ego’s need for self-affirmation than our Soul’s desire for self-expression. And really, there’s nothing wrong with following ego-inspired desire … IF we want to keep our lives the same and stay exactly where we are.

But the path into greater purpose, abundance, and accelerated manifesting is ALWAYS through our Soul’s self-expression.

The Soul’s whispers are persistent. That subtle nudge, the inspiration you’ve had for years, maybe even decades … THAT is your Soul’s calling.

To the incredible joy of being you!

The Power of Forgiveness

The Power of Forgiveness

Holding onto grudges and past hurts doesn’t do anyone any good. In fact, Judith Orloff M.D. writes, “Forgiveness refers to the actor not the act. Not to the offense but the woundedness of the offender.” The Emotional Freedom: Liberate Yourself From Negative Emotions and Transform Your Life author suggests not putting yourself in the line of fire with negative people. Instead, she suggests forgiving “the conscious or unconscious suffering that motivates people.”

How Traditional Yoga Helps with Stress and Anxiety

How Traditional Yoga Helps with Stress and Anxiety

When it comes to yoga, people often envision men and women with their bodies contorted into different positions paying homage to the Buddha and clearing their minds of any thoughts. That’s not the case whatsoever, and although practicing yoga on the mat is common practice for many yoginis, the lifestyle transcends the physical. There’s much more to yoga than twisting the body into a pretzel as demonstrated below.

What Yoga Offers

Yoga heals the mind, body, and soul. It’s not just a form of exercise, it’s a lifestyle. People who practice traditional yoga know how to effectively cope with stress and anxiety. They practice deep abdominal breathing as a way to calm themselves. They also believe in the power of silence.

In today’s world, it’s hard to get a moment alone or a word in edgewise. That’s why it’s so important for yoginis to have an outlet that helps them achieve inner peace. Meditation takes extreme discipline. People that are new to the practice often complain that it’s ineffective. Their minds are untrained and require more than one ‘session’ to fully comprehend meditation.

Once they grow used to sitting still and letting their thoughts fade, however, they grow use to the practice and develop a healthier tolerance for things in the process. Events that used to overwhelm them do nothing of the sort because they have an accessible tool that helps them keep things in perspective. Traditional yoga’s teachings are that tool.

Getting Rid of Blocked Energy Helps Keep Stress Away

Yoga also offers pain relief which alleviates stress and anxiety as well as strengthens the muscles, organs, joints, and bones. This is where blocked energy remains. Chronic pain causes stress and panic attacks in many people. Yoga with its many tools and practices provides strength where men and women need it most, in their minds.

Breathing: The Tool That Helps You Stay Calm

Breathing: The Tool That Helps You Stay Calm

One of the most effective tools to have in your self-care toolkit is deep breathing.  It activates the “Relaxation Response,” a physical state of deep rest that occurs as a result of stress and changes how the body and brain reacts to it.  Discovered by AIS Founding Trustee and Fellow, Dr. Herbert Benson, it helps decrease metabolism, causes the heart to beat slower and for the muscles to relax, and even decreases blood pressure.

Forgiveness and Anxiety

Forgiveness and Anxiety

In order to make peace with your past and overcome feelings of anxiety, you’ve got to forgive. Be it your first grade teacher, sharp-tongued co-worker or absent father, coming to terms with their transgressions, holding space for them to reflect upon their actions, and telling them that you no longer hold them responsible for how they’ve made you feel is enlightening. It takes the weight of the world off your shoulders in the biggest way.

On the same note, you must forgive yourself for making mistakes. Don’t let your past or shortcomings define you. Tomorrow is a brand new day and another chance at doing things right. Don’t let the pain of the past steal the joy from today. You’ll regret missing out on your life by giving away your power to something or someone who has no idea it disturbed you so much.

Anger and anxiety take their toll on the body physically and emotionally. The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) estimates that 40 million American adults have an anxiety disorder every year. There are several types affecting people, too. They are Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Social Anxiety Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). They may also come in the form of a Phobia or Panic Disorder.

Anxiety disorders cause nervousness, irritability, restlessness, trouble sleeping, fatigue, and trouble concentrating. A person having an anxiety or panic attack feels an overwhelming sense of danger or doom, experiences dizziness and weakness, and may even hyperventilate. Forgiveness elicits a different responds physically.

It slows down the heart rate and breathing with makes you rational. You see forgiveness for what it is as it has nothing to do with other people. It has everything to do with you. Forgiveness strengthens the mind, provides clarity, and instills a sense of peace which reduces anxiety and the fear of the unknown. Soften your heart and embrace the unknown for instant relief of those persistent anxious feelings.

So if you are motivated, if you are sick and tired of being “sick and tired”, then apply for a free VIP strategy session where we will figure out how you can move forward and heal.

How Your Diet Makes You Anxious

Anxiety is something everyone experiences at one time or another throughout their lifetime.  The nervous, jittery feeling that occurs before a job interview or test is very different from that experienced by people with anxiety disorders such as panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, and generalized anxiety disorder.  If you suffer from regular bouts of anxiety, it could very well be attributed to your diet.

Caffeine Stimulates the Nervous System

Caffeine is everyone’s favorite pick-me-up.  Throughout the day, do you grab a cup of coffee, tea or can of soda to stay awake?  If you do, you’re likely giving your nervous system the workout of a lifetime.

Caffeine is a stimulant which causes increases mental alertness temporarily.  Long-term consumption of the drug leads to adrenal fatigue as well as reduces blood flow to the brain causing headaches, dizziness, and reduction in fine motor coordination.  Caffeine also increases your heart rate, thirst and hunger, anxiety, nervousness, and insomnia.

Spicy Foods Make Digestion Difficult

Stress and digestive issues go together.  If you have stomach problems, you’re better off staying away from spicy food.  Because stress slowed down your metabolism, you have a harder time digesting food and may experience acid reflux.  Feeling ill after eating causes the symptoms of anxiety to worsen.

Processed Food Consumption Leads to Higher Cortisol Levels

There’s nothing natural about artificial flavorings.  In addition to being high in sodium, fat, and sugar, processed food have little nutritional value.  More importantly, loading up on empty calories, sugar, and salt increases cortisol levels which heightens feelings of anxiety and stress.  Hypoglycemia, or low blood sugar, occurs after eating sugary foods because insulin levels heighten and bottom out quickly.

The foods you eat and the beverages you drink do affect anxiety.  If you’re experiencing persistent feelings of nervousness, try cutting out the culprits and see how you feel.  Less caffeine, salt, and sugar in the diet helps you keep up a healthy perspective of life and the challenges that come with it.
